2/27- Tilia Bonarda 2020

This beautiful red wine from Mendoza Argentina was enjoyed with a delicious NY strip. While drinking this bonarda, I initially was hit with a pungent perfume- like aroma. After taking a few sips and a few bites of steak, the perfume died down into a sour cherry, earthy mixture.

After my meal, as I continued sipping the wine it began to dry out my tongue. This wine is definitely made to be with food. With food, I'd give this wine a 7 out of 10, but alone Ill give this wine a 5 out of 10. While heavy bodied and fruitful in flavor, the dryness of the wine eventually got to me and I had to doc some points.
